Home: Gifts for Kids

The City of Langley provides a live Christmas Tree (located at Willowbrook Shopping Center , Langley) which is decorated with tags noting a child's age and sex (ie: Boy 12 years or Girl 5 years) when shoppers return with a gift for the child. We require gifts for all children from newborn up to those still attending high school.

It is wonderful to see the tree filled with tags because then we know that so many Langley children will have a happy Christmas because of the efforts and generosity of Langley people.

We have a team of approximately 30 volunteers who provide assistance to shoppers. From the first Friday in December and continuing for 12 days, the volunteers give suggestions for gifts, assist with adding the gifts to the giant toy box and putting tags on the tree.

The gifts are taken to the Langley Christmas Bureau and distributed to the families the week before Christmas.
